Sharing and Seeking Together

It’s been several months since I’ve entered a new post on this blog. I’ve had some health issues (now resolved) but beyond that, I’ve spent more time following the political and social climate of our country, and it is now time for me to create answers by doing the job I am trained to do.  And that is help people with inner change, for ultimately, hearts are as important as laws in establishing a just and peaceful world. I do want to stay involved to the degree that I can, but there is also a balance to be found. So I am posting a new article, devoid of politics per se, although all things are different forms of The One or the non-dual Universe. So that being said, here goes.

For the past 6 years, and after moving to a small town and leaving so many friends behind, I have been asking for some fellow seekers with which to share the joy of discovery, of healing, of widening our spiritual horizons, and being open to the new discoveries in the fields of science, psychology and spirituality. I consider these three “the new trinity” and all are three sides of the same coin. Those three disciplines have, for the most part, isolated themselves into their own research and denied validity of the other two. But I see these three fields converging, often in spite of their desire to stay “pure in their own field.” I see science, particularly the Quantum Sciences, successfully doing experiments that seemingly explain what the Mystics experienced centuries ago. I hear even the hard sciences beginning to express the need to explore “Consciousness.” That indefinable “something” that is at play in creation and always following certain laws and principles.

I have longed for eye-to-eye and heart-to-heart discussions with others, as I had done earlier for over forty years. So, using “The Law of Attraction,” I’ve been asking, visualizing and expressing gratitude for the manifestation of a group that I know is in progress. As manifestation and synchronicity work,  I have been meeting people and having conversations with individuals, both in my church and in the community at large, that are also seeking and feeling somewhat alone in the search. So, with the blessing of our UCC Pastor, Reverend Doctor Deborah Patterson, and an offer to use her office as a meeting place,  I sent out an invitation to those people (and anyone else interested is certainly welcome) to join me in a “Namaste Café,” where “spiritual food” would be on the menu.

Last night was our first meeting and the energy was electric, the bonding almost instantaneous, and the conversation lively, deep and meaningful. Our purpose, clearly stated, is not to try to force a belief system or imply there is only one truth, but rather to share honestly, deeply, respectfully and to help one another heal when that is needed. Also, our purpose is to share experiences, to learn, and to share new information as the disciplines of Science, Psychology, and Spirituality unfold deeper and deeper discoveries. I guess one could see it as a spiritual self-help and personal growth group. It’s an exciting time to be alive, often despite appearances, it’s also a time when we have the opportunity as individuals and as a culture to create new paradigms of love and peace. Last night, with eleven people present and 3 more planning on coming to our July gathering, we have a small group of 14 people opening their hearts in richer and fuller ways, and from there, who knows where it will go.  I’ll keep you posted!

Lone :, amazing post here –
I love the name of your group ‘ Namaste Cafe ‘
I’m in my learning of spiritual growth – looking to learn more myself – my goal is to help all that are looking for the journey and don’t know where to start or actually how to – sometimes there’s not enough local support
I’m looking into opening those doors
I love the deepness of the soul and learning more of it
I am interested in the work you are all doing together right now – so please do keep us posted
Thank you so much for who you are xo
    And welcome back
    You were missed …

Thanks! I find that traditional churches are losing members, and I believe that people are searching for more! Keep opening doors and you may be surprised at how many will gather. Our little church has about 50 Sunday Attendance, so to have over 20 percent on the first night seemed amazing. I already know several more are planning to join us. I will keep you all informed.
